Choosing and applying handling techniques in dog agility
What will you learn?
This guided course is a great way to learn more about you and your dog as a team. Trying different handling techniques in a sequence and timing different options will teach you a lot about your current strengths and weaknesses, and how to run the most efficient course possible. This format of learning helps you recognise the best handling options for your dog and will make course walking easier in competition as well.
How does it work?
Starting on August 5th, 2024, OneMind Dogs Instructor Lynn Madden will take you through a new sequence on the OneMind Dogs learning platform. You’ll get homework tasks to complete every 2 weeks alongside other students. You can post videos of your training and receive feedback from Lynn to help you improve. The regular lessons will help inspire you to get out and train and watching videos from your fellow students will help you learn from other teams.
To participate you need to be able to set up a few jumps and a tunnel as you break down the course. To run the final course at the end, you’ll need 7 jumps and one tunnel and around 60 x 80 feet (17 x 25 meters). If you’re not able to set the final course, you can still join this guided course and focus on breaking it into sections and working on those.
